College of Science offers the degree of Master of Science in disciplines of mathematics, physics, and statistics (joint with College of Economics). The master’s degree program normally takes 3 years. The master’s degree program in mathematics started to recruit students in 2002, and have 232 graduates by the year of 2018. The master’s degree program in physics started to recruit students in 2013 and have 24 graduates by the year of 2018. With a master’s degree, the graduate can pursue a PhD degree at home or abroad. The graduates can also find jobs in schools and companies. Our curriculum provides students solid foundations of mathematics and physics and necessary skills for a successful career. A recent survey found that 60% of our former graduates worked in the IT industry.

 

Many of our faculty members are internationally recognized experts in their research fields. They have also earned degrees from respected universities. Students can cultivate their research skills under the guidance of our faculty members. The college provides students with funds to help them carry out their research. Students also have access to a dedicated computer room, which provides a good environment for their study and research.
